"Quarantine has been very hard for me, and I faced anxiety and mood swings because of loneliness."

With a lack of social interaction, we have faced the agony of social isolation. We have faced stress, depression, anxiety, and loneliness. Not being able to do anything made us feel restless. That is when we discovered the pain of social isolation, and how harmful it can be to mental health. What is even worse is that there are people who have been cut off from the outside world even before the quarantine.

"Quarantine opened my eyes to realize the importance of social interaction and the agony of social isolation."

There were nursing homes, jails, orphanages, and many other people who experienced isolation. These people have always lived in social isolation, we realized, and were only allowed minimal interaction with the outside-world through volunteers. Unfortunately, quarantine no longer made volunteer-work possible, and these people were left alone once more.

"We had to do something."

As a group, we decided to take action. We met with all of our friends, and call people all around the East Coast. From states including New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, and Virginia, we have united to work for one goal: bring the outside world to those in isolation.

"We are a diverse group of students that embraces students of all ages, ethnicities, race, gender, and sexuality."

Consisting of students from various different backgrounds, hobbies, and interests, we put our creative input together to create a wonderful performance for your community. Using Zoom, we performed a total of fifteen performances during our quarantine. Our venues included: Regency Care Center, CareOne at Wayne, CareOne at Ridgewood, Lakeview Rehabilitation Center, Bristal Assisted Living, Van Dyke Health Care Center, Oakland Rehabilitation and Care Center, and Matulaitis Nursing Home.

"We offer a creative, innovative, and fun way to share our music with others."

We have tried a variety of things to enhance our performances and increase the amount of interaction between our performers and our audience members! We use fun activities like spinning the wheel to stimulate conversation. We also showcase our furry friends, read books, and play whimsical cartoons that go along with our music!
